Financial Aid

Students should obtain a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) worksheet form from the Financial Aid Office of the school from which they plan to attend for Advanced Manufacturing Pathway courses. Most financial aid programs are determined by analyzing the families' ability to pay in relation to the cost for a school year. In order to determine financial need on a uniform basis, each applicant must submit the FAFSA online via the internet at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

After financial need has been established, your financial needs may be met through one of several funds or through a financial aid package consisting of a combination of funds and programs, including Pell grants or reduced-interest loans.

Once you have chosen the institution from which you plan to pursue your manufacturing pathway certification, contact the institution’s financial aid office. Students may enter the pathway through qualified certificates or degrees from almost any institution. In West Central Ohio, the most active education partners of the WCOMC include:

Education & Training for Displaced Workers

Scholarships

Scholarships are also available from the WCOMC and its participating education institutions. Scholarships are awarded based on various minimum standards such as academic requirements, where the student resides, financial needs or other factors.

The WCOMC offers one $500 scholarship each year to a student pursuing a manufacturing-related degree or certificate at Rhodes State College.
